CONFIRMATION CLASS

(Class of 2016)

 

 Our major goal for confirmation is to enable our young people tomake a public profession of personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  This is an important milestone intheir faith journey.

Confirmation is open to all 8th grade youth and any 9th grade youth that have not been through the confirmation process.

ALL CLASSES will be held on Sundays @ 9:45 a.m. (Sunday School hour)

 

You must attend class to receive the full benefit of the confirmation experience.  You are allowed to miss up to 4 classes without repercussion.  If you miss between 5-9 classes, you will not be confirmed with your class, but will have to attend make up classes in the Spring, and will be Confirmed at a later date.  If you miss 10 or more classes, you will not be confirmed in the 2011-2012 school year. 


Service Events

Service “Events” are an Extension of what you are already doing through your life in the church, school & community. The purpose for the service events segment of confirmation is to encourage and enable the youth to serve others.  Due to all the different ways that We are called to serve Christ, we ask the youth to sometimes try new & different ways to serve. We are offering 5 service events.  You must attend and participate in at least 3 of the 5 events.

Church Work Day   November 12, 2011

HOPE House Service Day     January 28, 2012 

Church Member Service Day   February 25, 2012


Don’t forget to record your service events on the log sheet provided and have it signed by your Confirmation Leader.
