membership process at MPPC

We are delighted to hear that you are interested in learning more about Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church! I would like to take this opportunity to explain the membership process. 

All potential new members are required to attend the New Member Inquiry Class prior to joining the church. A schedule for the next group of classes is enclosed. 

Please note the methods of joining: 

• Reaffirmation of Faith
• Certificate of Transfer from previous church
• If you have not previously been baptized at another church, you will need to join by Profession of Faith and be baptized prior to becoming an active member. 

Although you will be “introduced to the congregation” at the 11:15 service, the formal joining takes place as you meet with the Session at 10:15 in the Fellowship Hall on Joining Day. If you have any questions about any of the methods of joining, please ask one of the instructors in your first class. 

Again, thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church family. We look forward to meeting you at 9:30 am on the first day of class. This class will provide an opportunity to get to know more about the church, but more importantly, it is an opportunity to learn and discuss our commitment to Jesus Christ and the uniqueness of the Presbyterian branch of the Christian church.

ALL JOINING MEMBERS MUST MEET WITH THE SESSION
at 10:15 AM on Joining Day in order to formalize membership.  New Members will be introduced
to the congregation at 11:15 AM service.
