What kind of prayer opportunities
does MPPC offer?
Mother Teresa was once quoted as saying, “God speaks in the silence of the heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer.” As you begin your new year, you may find yourself in need of a place to be quiet. Many of us realize that God speaks in the silence of our hearts, but in this day and age, with so many distractions, it is often hard to find the space for silence and the time for quiet. MPPC understands this challenge and provides several opportunities for people to engage in prayer and find the space for quiet. These opportunities include…
The Prayer Room: Located by the Parlor; Check before you open the door to see if someone is there. When you walk in you will find an “In Use” sign to hang on the outside of the door. Feel free to use the materials and to write in the prayer journal. You are welcome to pray from the prayer list provided and to also pray from the prayer journal.
Weekly Prayer Meeting:
On Wednesdays at 7:30 am in Parlor, designed mainly to lift up individual needs.
Services of Wholeness: Quarterly on Tuesdays at 6 pm. Watch for an announcement with date and time. Elders of the church will pray for and with you with the laying on of hands. You may bring your own prayer request or someone else’s.
The Prayer Chain: Your prayer request will be prayed for by people who are dedicated to prayer. All requests will be kept confidential. Call Betty Jenkins 884-3370 or Helen Slack 569-2753 with your prayer request. They will pray immediately.
