Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church

 

The Scholarship fund is

  1. Available to assist individuals participating in the outreach of Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
  2. Specifically targeted to be used outside our local service area.
  3. Needs based. 

The Scholarship Fund committee is comprised of the chairpersons of Church & Society, International Missions, and Youth Ministry committees. The chair of International Missions also chairs the Scholarship Fund. 

 

Individuals who can, should fund their trip as part of the mission journey.  In parallel with that, all potential trip participants should seek the prayers and support of their respective small group within the congregation. Should there be a need for additional financial assistance, application to the Scholarship Fund is appropriate. In practice, the Scholarship Fund committee limits any assistance to up to 1/3 of the cost of the mission trip. (A model for maximum assistance:  the participant pays 1/3, their small group raises 1/3 and the Scholarship Fund grants 1/3.)

 

All applications, any awards and proceedings of the Scholarship Fund committee are CONFIDENTIAL.
